William J. Marshall Jr.

William J. Marshall Jr., age 91, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Born on July 7, 1935, in Cincinnati, he was the cherished son of William Joseph and Ethel Marshall (nee Combs).

Preceded in death by his parents, siblings James and Donna Marshall, and Georgia Gilman, William is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Joan Marshall; his sons Steven, David (Theresa), and William "Buzz" Joseph Marshall III; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and many dear family members and friends.

William was a loving and caring husband and father, known for his good humor and generous spirit. He found joy in sports and music, and cherished time spent outdoors. Ever attentive to his family, he faithfully supported his children and grandchildren in their sporting activities. A man of many conversations, William never met a stranger.

He had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews in Baltimore and Cincinnati, and treasured moments with his grandkids and great-grandkids. His love for ice cream was well-known, as was his devotion to keeping a tidy home and yard.

William's memory lives on through the lives he touched. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
