Warren Howard Hone

Warren Howard Hone, age 84, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026. Born on September 3, 1941, in Gloversville, New York, Warren was the son of W. Howard and Mildred D. Hone (née Dillenbeck).

A devoted family man, Warren is lovingly survived by his daughters, Gayle J. (Jason) Meadows and Diana R. (Michael Jr.) Starkey; his grandchildren, Benjamin Flores, Emmaline Starkey, and Madelynn Starkey; and his brother, Gordon J. (the late Lynda) Hone, along with many other family members and friends who held him dear.

Warren was a proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati in 1963 and dedicated over 40 years to his career as a pharmacist, serving his community with care and commitment. He was also deeply involved in fraternal organizations, having served as Past Master of Pleasant Ridge Lodge #282 F. & A.M. and as a member of the Scottish Rite.

An active member of Bexley United Methodist Church, Warren found solace and strength in his faith, with his favorite biblical verse being Luke 23:34. He had a warm affection for his daughters and a special love for his feline companions, Poppy and Mitty. In his leisure time, Warren enjoyed cheering for hometown Cincinnati teams and was a passionate supporter of the University of Cincinnati.
