Walter Eugene (Gene) Duncan age 71, originally from Covington, KY passed away on Monday Morning, July 01, 2025, at his home. He was born July 25, 1953, in Scott County, Oneida, TN to the late Walter C. (Walt) Duncan and Rema June Shelton.
He was a member of the Florence Baptist Church. Gene was a U. S. Army Veteran. He was married to the love of his life Deborah Lee (Debbie) Stetter for 36 years. He worked for many years at Formica in Cincinnati alongside his father but really was a “Jack of All Trades” and loved being an entrepreneur. Gene built and managed many successful businesses throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with all his family and friends, riding motorcycles, working on cars, giving random facts and telling tall tales, wood working, model trains, refusing to let anyone pay for a meal, and many other small hobbies and fascinations.
Gene is survived by his children, Charity (Micheal) Stephens and Kyle (Jade) Duncan; grandchildren, Haley (Harley) Stephens, Jacob Stephens, Phoebe Stephens, Logan Stephens, Scarlett Duncan, Kylee Stephens and Grant Duncan; siblings, Sheila Settles and Rick Duncan; nephew and nieces, Greg Fraley, Clara Conner, Amber Settles and Amanda Settles.
A visitation will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 9am - 11am followed by a service at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 4350 Dixie Hwy. Erlanger, Kentucky. Burial with full military honors will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
