Virginia Ellen Byrd

Virginia E. Byrd, age 83, of Maineville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 22, 1941, she was the cherished daughter of the late Edwin P. and Elizabeth Christine Lawson (nee Morris).

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 63 years, Victor Byrd; her son, Bryan Wayne (Karin) Byrd; her daughter, Rhonda Gayle (John Begley) Huntley; and her beloved grandchildren: Nathan Ryan (Rachel) Byrd, Megan Elizabeth Castle, Abigail Claire (Alexander) Byrd-Stapleton, Justin Adam Huntley, and Kylee Grace Byrd. Virginia was also the proud great-grandmother of Kamden Reese Corbin, Lexie Jo Byrd, Reagan Marie Byrd, and August River Stapleton. She is further survived by her sister, Barbara Jane (Tom) McDowell, as well as a host of other family members and friends who will sorely miss her.

Ginny enjoyed crafts with the grandchildren, sewing, fishing, singing, entertaining/feeding family gatherings, swimming, and perhaps most of all, vacations with grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Christian Appalachian Project.

A funeral ceremony will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 7:00 PM, with visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, located at 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
