Verna Lucille Sperveslage

Verna Sperveslage (nee Morgan), age 95, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Born in Sharp County, Arkansas on October 20, 1930, she was the cherished daughter of Walter and Viola Morgan (nee King).

Verna was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Viola Morgan, and her siblings Marie Darnell, Ernestine Hurt, and Willis Morgan She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Ingrid (John) Osterwisch, Karen (Thomas) Bedinghaus, and Mary Smith, as well as her son, Glenn (Bobi Johns) Sperveslage. Verna's legacy lives on through her 14 grandchildren, 22-grandchildren, and 16 great great-grandchildren, along with a host of family members and friends.

Throughout her life, Verna was dedicated to her family, always putting others first. She had a deep passion for nurturing loved ones, ensuring that everyone was well cared for. She enjoyed visiting her extended family in Arkansas, making lasting memories together.

Verna hosted holiday and Sunday meals creating a welcoming atmosphere for all who gathered around her table. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she took immense pride in being an integral part their lives.

In loving of memory of Verna, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Cremations - Funerals and Receptions West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph New Cemetery.
