Valorie Ann Orta, née Vickers, was born on July 9, 1967, in Covington, Kentucky. Valorie passed away on May 25, 2025, in Edgewood, Kentucky, after a period of declining health, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Valorie was a woman who embraced life with sass and enthusiasm, always ready to share a hearty laugh or a cheeky remark. Her warm heart radiated joy, especially during moments spent with her family. She found immense happiness in the simple pleasures of watching soap operas, enjoying "The Masked Singer," and reliving the comedic brilliance of "Roseanne." These shows were not just pastimes for Valorie; they were part of the tapestry of her daily life that she loved to share and discuss with her nearest and dearest.
Family was at the center of Valorie's life. She is survived by her beloved spouse, Guy Elliott, and her daughter, Carrie (Anglia Saunders) Orta. Valorie took great pride in her role as a grandmother, doting on her grandchildren: Kylie Ashcraft, Spencer Elliott, and Stella Elliott, who brought her endless joy and laughter. Her love extended to her sisters, Angela Vickers, Brenda Sanders, Katie Bridges, and Chrissy Parker, as well as her brothers, Lee Robinson and Steven A. Vickers. Valorie also shared her kindness and warmth with a host of other family members and friends, whose lives have been touched by her vibrant spirit.
Valorie was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Vickers (nee Rabe), her father who raised her, Clifford Vickers, and her birth father, Gary Robinson. Her siblings, Steven Vickers, Ronnie Vickers, and Christopher Vickers, also await her in everlasting peace.
No services will be held at this time.
As we remember Valorie Ann Orta, we honor a woman whose laughter will echo in our hearts and whose love will endure through the cherished memories she leaves behind. Her life may have been cut short, but the joy she brought to those around her will forever remain a bright light in our lives.
