Thomas Whitmire Jr.

Thomas H. Whitmire Jr., age 69, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Born on October 30, 1956, in Cincinnati to Thomas and Lucille Whitmire (née Chamberlain), Thomas lived a life cherished by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Whitmire, Sr. and Lucille Whitmire, as well as siblings Juanita Stamps, JoAnn Martin, Ben Denton, Judy Whitmire and Virgina Harris. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Martina Whitmire; sisters Kathy Whitmire, and Charyce Whitmire; brothers Bernard Whitmire and Maurice Whitmire; his grandchild, Honey Johnson; and a wide circle of family members and friends.

Thomas had a vibrant spirit and a zest for life. He found joy in fishing, bowling, singing, dressing with style, dancing, and expressing himself with enthusiasm. He had a fondness for elegant suits, cars, and his jewelry. Above all, he loved Christ, cherished his grandchild deeply, and treasured spending time surrounded by family.

A funeral ceremony to honor Thomas’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Faith Temple Ministries, located at 825 Rockdale Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery.
