Tammy Marie Chestnut

Tammy Marie Chestnut, a compassionate and wild spirit, left this world peacefully on December 7, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on January 28, 1968, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, Tammy embodied the virtues of dedication and kindness throughout her career as a nurse. She brought healing and care to those in need, all while maintaining her trademark sense of humor!

Tammy was a woman with a big heart—a true free spirit who had a wild streak that made her the life of the party. Friends and family alike will remember her for her wit, her ability to brighten a room, and her unwavering support for anyone who needed a helping hand. She often extended her help—sometimes even at her own expense—showing just how deeply she cared for those around her.

Tammy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time with her beloved family. She loved creating beautiful cakes for her grandchildren's birthdays, ensuring each cake came with a sprinkle of love and a dash of laughter. Her proudest accomplishments included not just her impressive career but also her family, which was her greatest treasure.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Richard Chestnut; father, William Abbey ; daughter, Elisha Clem; sons, Dustin Colley, Brendan Purnell, Kyle Chestnut, and Evan (Hollie) Chestnut; and an incredible lineup of grandchildren: Emariah, Camren, Mykenzye, Frankie, Kaz, Laniyah, Qortni, Ziggy, Eriq, Emonte, Hayden, Wendell, Wyatt, Levi, Kara, and Tyler; and one great-grandchild, Na'vali. She is also survived by her sisters, Laura Trame and Becky Paul; brothers, William Abbey, Nathan Abbey, and Eric Clem; and nieces, Lita Trame and Loni Trame. Tammy’s vibrant spirit will surely continue to echo through their lives.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sherry Abbey (nee Glass), and her son, Tristan Purnell.

Join us in celebrating Tammy's life at Newcomer Funeral Home in Erlanger, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on December 19, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a funeral service that will commence at 5:00 PM and conclude around 6:00 PM. Please wear purple!!
