Sherry Rae Wagner, cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on May 3, 1955, in Beecher City, Illinois, Sherry's life was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those around her.

For 25 years, Sherry dedicated herself to her career at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, where her warm personality and keen sense of humor brightened the lives of her colleagues. Beyond her professional life, Sherry was an esteemed alumna of McKendree University, where she proudly cheered for the school’s teams and created memories that would last a lifetime.

Sherry’s personality was as vibrant as her smile. She had an extraordinary ability to make everyone laugh and lighten the mood, even until her last days. Her loving, caring, and witty nature endeared her to all who were privileged enough to know her. A devoted Christian, she spent countless hours reading Bible verses, drawing strength from her faith. Sherry was selfless to a fault; she always prioritized the needs of others before her own, ensuring that everyone in her orbit felt cared for and supported.

Her love for family was immeasurable, and she cherished time spent with her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She was particularly proud of her children, Stephanie Dreisbach (Brian Nagy) and Shane Scroggins, along with her grandchildren Brianna, Brandon, Parker, and Skye, whose laughter and energy were among her proudest accomplishments. Sherry’s deep bond with her family extended to her siblings: Carolyn (Randy) Myers, Chad (Tera) Arnold, Larry (Cathy) Arnold, Marilyn (Tim) Tappendorf, and Julie (Todd) Kemme, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories.

Throughout her life, Sherry maintained a passion for fishing, looking forward to the days when she could cast her line alongside her father again. She also treasured the time she spent with her grandmother, Mrs. Arnold, during her childhood, memories that remained close to her heart. Sherry's heart was filled with love for her dog, Sparky, who provided her with companionship and joy.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Walter Wayne Arnold; mother, Melba Arnold (née Kahl); and step-mother, Glenda Arnold. Their absence will be deeply felt, but her legacy of love will continue to inspire her family and friends.

A visitation will be held in her memory on October 25, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, located in Erlanger, KY. As we gather to celebrate Sherry's life, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
