Scotty R. Johnson

Scott R. Johnson, born on March 15, 1971, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, leaving a legacy of devotion, warmth, and steadfast loyalty to those who knew and loved him. His 55 years were marked by enduring dedication to his family, his passions, and his community.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Trudy Johnson, who stood by his side and shared countless cherished memories. He is survived by his step-sons Tommy Vucic and Trevor Vucic; sisters, Lois Barker, Trish Jones, and his brothers, Ricky Johnson and Lee Johnson.

A proud and caring grandfather, Scott delighted in the lives of his grandchildren: Lily, Breaden, Bailey, Jordan and Brody. Their laughter and energy brought him immeasurable joy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Johnson, his mother, Senie Johnson, his step-son, Timmy Vucic, and his mother-in-law, Jean Evans. 

Scott was perhaps best known among those close to him as an avid Bengals fan, a passion that colored many weekends and brought together friends and family in celebration or commiseration, depending on the score. A true life of the party, Scott was the funniest person in the room and approached life: wholeheartedly, loyally, and with a sense of belonging.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 10 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3300 Parkcrest Ln, Cincinnati, OH 45211) where visitation will take place on August 8, 2026, from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Scott R. Johnson will be remembered for his unwavering support, the kindness he showed to others, and the legacy of love he leaves behind. His loss is deeply felt, but the memories and lessons he shared will continue to inspire and guide all who were privileged to know him.
