Roy Clarence Fields

Roy Clarence Fields, age 84, a longtime resident of Northern Kentucky passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, after a battle with cancer. After proudly serving in the United States Air Force, he built a successful career as an aerospace engineer. In retirement, he found joy on the softball fields of The Villages, Florida, where he played in numerous leagues and made new friends. He loved to cook for family and friends and his warmth, humor, and ability to strike up a conversation with anyone made him unforgettable.

He leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Rosemary (Frisch), daughters, Autumn Ferguson, Michelle (Dan) Huffman, Summer (Bo) Trenkamp and Heather (Michael) Stadtlander as well as 14 grandchildren – Mackenzie (Abe) Chaney, Jennifer (Jake) Thomas, Anthony Fields, Benjamin (Alex) Ferguson, Eric (Dayna) Huffman, Michael (Courtney) Ferguson, Samantha (Matheus) Gerotto, Winter (Dakota) Crouch, Joshua (Anna) Ferguson, Johnny (Bailea) Trenkamp, Elena (Dillon) Lucas, Natalie (Hunter) May, Josephine Stadtlander and Elijah Stadtlander. He is survived by 21 great‑grandchildren– Eli, Kai, Violet, Titus, Daisy, Bodi, Ruth, Finn, Renny, Gus, Theo, Eden, Norah, River, Bowen, Maryn, Leeland, Silas, Gia, Daniel, Axel, with 2 more on the way. Additionally, he is survived by his two sisters, Cheryl (Bob) Lewis and Kay Clowers.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Marie Fields, and brother Dennis Fields. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Roy’s legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering love will live on in all who knew him.

Roy will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, Kentucky in a private service.
