Roy W. Corman, Sr., a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on July 11, 2025, in Edgewood, Kentucky, at the age of 62. Born on March 29, 1963, in Douglas, Wyoming, Roy was a proud 1981 graduate of Holmes High School, where he distinguished himself as a member of the wrestling and weight teams. His dedication and committed spirit would later be evident in his 22 years of service at GPC Motions, where he was known as a reliable fabricator and dedicated employee.
Roy's larger-than-life personality was characterized by his honest demeanor; he didn't sugar coat anything but was immensely described as having a big heart. Throughout his life, he pursued various passions, including bodybuilding and working as a lifeguard at Randolph Pool during his younger years. His love for motorcycles was well-known; he rode every chance he got. Saturdays were special to him, as he would frequent his local watering hole, Buffalo Bobs, where he enthusiastically recommended their bleu cheese dressing to anyone who would listen. An avid sports fan, Roy cheered for the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Green Bay Packers, and the University of Kentucky Wildcats. He cherished community events such as the WEBN Fireworks and Maifest and held a profound love for his cherished fur babies.
Roy shared over 20 wonderful years with his wife, Brenda J. Collins, who remains among his loving family. He leaves behind a legacy through his children: Gary (Victoria) Ray, Felisha Corman, Robert Wombles, Mandi (Robert) Corman, Roy Corman, Jr., Tabitha (Keith) Maynard, and April King. He was a proud grandfather to 22 grandchildren and great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren. His brotherly bonds will be remembered with Ronald Corman and Russell (Cyndi) Corman, as well as his sisters Mary Baker, Dawnell Jennings, and Christina Jennings. Additionally, Roy is survived by his stepfather, Donald Jennings, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
Roy is preceded in death by his mother JoAnn Jennings (nee Hampton), father Edward Wilson Corman, and brother Edward "Butch" Joe Corman.
