Rosemary L. Shabash, formerly Davidson, a beacon of kindness and love, peacefully passed away on October 20, 2025, in Edgewood, Kentucky, surrounded by her beloved children. Born on November 10, 1949, in Liberty, Kentucky, she was the cherished daughter of Frank and Anna Mae Singleton (nee Haste). Her life journey was characterized by her selfless nature and a great sense of humor, both of which filled the hearts of those around her.
As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Rosemary's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Fred Davidson, Jr., and her daughter, Lisa (Ron) Powers. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Cain Messer, Nicholas Messer, Dustin Nunn, and Autumn Powers, as well as her great-grandchildren, Celeste Messer, Orion Messer and Dustin Nunn.
Rosemary was known not only for her nurturing spirit but also for her culinary prowess. An excellent cook, she became famous for her chili, which drew family and friends from near and far, creating cherished memories around the dinner table. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth, laughter, and love, as she enjoyed shopping for new foods and tending to her beautiful garden in her younger years. Rosemary’s dazzling smile was a reflection of her vibrant personality, which made everyone feel welcomed and taken care of.
She is survived by her siblings: Danny Singleton, Dennis Singleton, David Singleton, Donna (Jim) Lefker, Marsha Black, and Brenda Bhatti, along with a host of other family members and friends who adored her.
Though she experienced loss throughout her life with the passing of her husband and father of her children, Fred Davidson, Sr., and her second husband, Mohammad Adam Shabash, as well as several brothers—Frank, Barry, Ronald, and Billy Singleton—her unwavering spirit remained a source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The visitation for Rosemary will be held on October 28, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home in Erlanger, Kentucky, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM. Burial will take place immediately following at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Mt. Healthy, where she will be laid to rest next to her first husband, Fred Davidson, Sr.
Rosemary L. Shabash will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved and nurtured, her legacy of compassion serving as a guiding light. She leaves behind a world that is undeniably brighter for having had her in it.
