Roena Evelyn Wade, a beloved matriarch and devoted seamstress, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, at the age of 96. Born on June 30, 1929, in Urbana, Missouri, Roena embodied kindness and selflessness throughout her life, always willing to lend a helping hand and never wanting to be a bother to anyone.

For 35 years, Roena dedicated herself to her work as a seamstress at St. Luke's, where her skills and warm demeanor left a lasting impact on those around her. She took great pride in her family, which she considered her proudest accomplishment. Roena was a faithful individual who found joy in reading her Bible and watching church programs, including the teachings of Billy Graham. She was saved December 14, 1941, at twelve and a half years old and was baptized on May 3, 1942, in Ingalls Creek. Her hobbies and interests reflect her deep faith and commitment to her community.

Roena is survived by her son, John (Dayna) Wade; her daughter, Jorene (Terry) Lyman; and her cherished grandchildren, Shelly Lyman, April Jo Lyman, Sara (Josh) Kroetsch, John Phillip (Erica) Wade, and Lily Wade. She also leaves behind her treasured great-grandchildren, Isaac (Baleigh) Lyman, Austin (Danielle) Burnett, Emma Lyman, Ashley Burnett, Aiden Lyman, Harleigh Feltner, Evelyn Kroetsch, and Elijah Kroetsch, as well as her great-great-grandchildren Ashlynn Howard, Anylah Jefferson, Kade Lyman, and Kaiden Burnett. Roena's legacy will live on through this loving family and the many friendships she built throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Brian Percival, and her mother, Minnie Evelyn Percival (nee Hefner); her beloved husband, John H. Wade; her brother, George Percival; her sister, Annie Ainley; and her brother, Mellish Stephen Percival.

Roena Evelyn Wade will be remembered for her unwavering strength, compassion, and the light she brought into the lives of others. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 11am - 1pm followed by a service at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4350 Dixie Hwy. Erlanger, KY 41018. Burial will take place immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Kentucky.
