Rhonda Downing

Rhonda K. Downing, age 62, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 6, 1963, to Ronald and Annette Diers (nee Nesmith).

She was preceded in death by her Husband, James Allison Downing; Father, Ronald Diers; Mother, E. Annette Diers; Brother, Jerry Noble. Rhonda is survived by her Daughter, Molly Allison (Stephen) Downing; Son, Mike (Jackie) Downing; Son, Eric James (Caitlin) Downing; Brother, Farris (Nancy) Noble; Sister, Leann (Robert) Molloy; Brother, Mark Noble; Sister, Peri "Pepper" Rice; Sister, Mindy Diers; Granddaughters, Alexis, Ashley and Ava Downing; Grandson, Huxley Downing; and a host of other family members and friends.

Rhonda's heart knew no bounds. She loved deeply, forgave freely, and welcomed everyone with open arms. Whether it was a smile, a thoughtful word, or simply being present, she had a gift for making people feel seen and loved. Her compassion wasn't just something she gave; it was who she was. She found joy in the simple things: animals (even "adopting" the local wildlife, a deer, she called Baby), spending time with all her friends and family, playing Yahtzee or Scrabble, or even watching her usual soap operas. Those that knew Rhonda, knew she always had to stay busy. She carried a deep appreciation for life's quiet blessings. In every way, she lived her life with grace, humility, and boundless love. Rhonda was the kind of mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandma and friend who made the world better just by being in it. She had a warmth that could light up a room and a generosity of spirit that lifted those around her.Her legacy is one of warmth, laughter, and unwavering love. A light that will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew her.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday July 23, 2025, at 11:00 am located at Bridgetown Cemetery, 4337 Harrison Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45211. A celebration of life will be held at LaRosa’s on Boudinot (2411 Boudinot Ave Cincinnati, OH 45238) following the graveside service 12:30-3:30pm on 7/23.
