Regina Freeman, age 65, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on December 30, 2025. She was born on December 13, 1960, in Cincinnati, to John Freeman and Fern Riley (nee Fluegeman).
Regina was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her father, John Freeman, and her loving partner, Donna Denham. Regina is survived by her mother, Fern Riley; her siblings, Pam (Bill) Klingensmith, Dave (Cheryl) Freeman, Dan (Karen) Freeman, and Paul (Lori) Freeman; as well as her cherished nieces and nephews: Nick, Kyle, Kevin, Corey, Amanda, Zach, Logan, and Olivia.
Regina was a trailblazer in her community; she was the first girl at 13 yrs old to play in the Knothole League in Cincinnati for the Miami Heights Raiders. It was said that she was one of the best baseball player on the team, but being a girl she was not allowed to play baseball with the boys. She was known to have an 85 MPH fast ball and a nasty curve ball. Demonstrating her passion for sports and athletics, she not only excelled as an athlete but also shared her love for the game by coaching softball. Regina's enthusiastic spirit and dedication to the sport left a lasting impression on her teammates and players alike.
For employment, Regina worked at Jergens and a window company as a secretary. After having emotional struggles in her own life, she knew she wanted to help others because she had a big and loving heart, she volunteered with a Suicide Hotline. In her spare time and as a hobby, she liked to make jewelry and homemade drums which she gave to her nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life, Regina nurtured many friendships and was known for her warm and welcoming nature. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
There will be a Memorial service at Newcomer Cremations - Funerals - Receptions 3300 Parkcrest Lane Cincinnati, Ohio 45211 on Thursday January 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Prior to the memorial service, there will be a visitation or a gathering of friend starting at 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
