Peter W. Ogren

Peter W. Ogren, 73, of Florence, KY. died of complications relating to dementia at St. Elizabeth Hospice Edgewood on July 29, 2025.

He was born in Rockford, IL in 1951 to Arnold and Margaret Orgen. Peter attended Rockford East High School, Augustana College, and the University of Southern Mississippi, where he earned a BS in nursing before attending anesthesia school at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. He also received a Master's Degree in Nurse Anesthesia from Medical College of Virginia. A veteran, Peter served in the United States Air Force for 20 years as a nurse anesthetist and retired to private practice anesthesia in El Paso, TX, and Pullman, WA, before settling in Richmond, KY, at Baptist Health.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Margaret Ogren and is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ogren, son Christopher (Brandi) Ogren, and son Tyler (Heather) Ogren. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alexander, Grayson and Nora Ogren. Also by his sister Perky McCoy and brother, Philip Ogren.
