Patricia Dawn Kessans, 52, of Covington, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2026.
Known for her spunky spirit, independent nature, and fiercely outspoken personality, Patricia was a woman who never hesitated to speak her mind. She had a fire about her, a strength that was uniquely hers, and a personality that could never be mistaken for anyone else’s. She lived life on her own terms and wasn’t afraid to stand firmly in who she was. She was unapologetically herself, and those who knew her knew there was never anyone quite like Patty.
Patricia valued education and earned an associate degree, an accomplishment that reflected her dedication to learning and personal growth.
Above all, Patricia was a mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. Her family was an important part of her story, and her memory will live on through the people whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her children, Brianne Kessans and Trent Kessans; her grandchildren, Myla Huling, Reese Huling, and Camren Davis; her brother, Joe Landrum; and her mother, Terri Landrum.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Destiny Vocke, who passed away in 2021.
After enduring the heartbreaking loss of her daughter, Destiny, Patricia now leaves behind a family who takes comfort in imagining the two reunited. Though the pain of losing them both is immeasurable, there is something beautiful in believing that a mother and daughter who were once separated are together again. Their bond lives on through the family and generations they leave behind.
Though Patricia’s time here was far too short, her life leaves behind memories, stories, and a legacy that will continue through the generations of her family. Her voice, her fiery spirit, her independence, and the unmistakable person she was will not be forgotten.
She was one of a kind, unapologetically herself, and will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
Until we meet again, Mom. ❤️
