Patricia "Pat" Fanthorp (née Schneider), born on October 9, 1941, in Covington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, in Florence, Kentucky. She leaves behind a legacy marked by strength, independence, and an unwavering authenticity that characterized every aspect of her life.

Pat was known to all who met her as the strongest woman anyone knew. She lived life on her own terms, with a clear sense of purpose and determination. Her independence and assurance were inspiring, as was her sincere devotion to her family, which she held as her proudest accomplishment. Above all, Pat treasured her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, taking immense joy in watching her family blossom and grow.

A lifelong enthusiast of horse racing, Pat’s passion for the sport was one of the many vibrant facets of her personality. Her love for thoroughbred racing was emblematic of her spirited nature and zest for life's experiences. She was also a Bengals, Reds and UK Wildcats fan who had a deep love of fantasy football.

Pat is survived by her beloved son, Walter Fanthorp, and daughter, Patricia Wilson, along with their spouses Karrie and Jeff, respectively. Her cherished grandchildren—James, Devan, Kay-Lynn, Dillon, Haley, and Lance—carry forth her legacy, as do her great-grandchildren Ernie, Max, Aubrey, Gryffin, Evander, Jack, and Gwynivere, each a testament to the family unity Pat so deeply nurtured.

She will also be fondly remembered by her siblings: sisters Barb and Kathy, brothers Mike, Tim (and his wife Terri), and Harry (and his wife Mary), as well as her sister-in-law Carol. Pat’s circle of family and friends extends beyond these cherished names, encompassing many others who were touched by her courage, warmth, and resolve.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Harry Schneider, her mother, Mary Katherine Schneider (née Burns), her son, Rob Fanthorp, and her brother, Rick.

Her passing leaves a profound void, but her spirit endures in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. Patricia Fanthorp’s life was a testament to resilience and love—a beacon that will continue to inspire her family and loved ones for generations to come.
