Neal "Ben" Borgemenke

Borgemenke, Neal "Ben" Carl age 87, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 10, 1939 to the late Neal E and Merle Borgemenke (nee Dick). Beloved husband of 67 years to the late Stella (nee Ames)

Ben is the father of Jeff (Nancy) Borgemenke, Michelle (Wally) Lauch, the late David and the late Daniel Borgemenke. He is the grandfather of Justin (Mary) Borgemenke, Tracy (Nick) Oenbrink, Holly (Connor) Peace, Jake, Zach and Shannen Lauch, Scott, Danielle, and David Borgemenke. He also has 4 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Brother of Donna Pragar, Linda Sunderhaus, Nancy Jump, Tom, Irv and Jerry Borgemenke, and the late Phyllis, Merle, Gene, Dale, Tim, Phil, Mike and Joseph Borgemenke.

Ben proudly served our country as a member of the United States Air Force, meeting the love of his life while overseas. After completing his service, Ben and Stella married in England and eventually moved to Cincinnati to raise their family. He worked for 45 years as a Pressmen at Smurfit until his retirement in 2001. 

Ben and Stella were truly inseparable, spending their time together gardening, home projects and traveling to The Smokey Mountains. He loved his animals, mostly inherited by Stella's passion for saving them. 

Visitation will be Monday, October 19, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, (45211) from 9:30 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St Joseph Old Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to Alzheimer's Association or The American Heart Association.
