Natalyn Dorgan

Natalyn “Lyn” Dorgan (née Skaggs), born September 8, 1953, in Oceanside, California, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, in Edgewood, Kentucky, after a valiant battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Lyn’s life was marked by a deep love for her family, steadfast faith, and a spirit defined by positivity, resilience, and unconditional kindness.

Lyn is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Joe Dorgan, with whom she built a life full of love, mutual respect, and countless cherished memories. She was the proud and loving mother of Jen Dorgan Foreman and Joseph Dorgan. Among her greatest joys were her beloved granddaughters—her “angel girls”—Natalie Foreman, Sarah Foreman, and Eden Foreman, for whom she was an adoring Nana and ever-present source of encouragement. Her sister, Sue Litzinger, and brother, Kelly Skaggs, numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive her, holding her memory close.

She enters eternal rest reunited with her dear daughter Betsey Dorgan, father Aubrey "Nat" Skaggs, mother Betty Skaggs (née Ennis), and brother Bill Skaggs. Their spirits live on in the legacy Lyn leaves behind—a legacy of love, compassion, and faith.

Lyn’s selfless nature was evident in every aspect of her life. She loved unconditionally and found fulfillment in putting the needs of others first. Her positivity never waned, even in the face of great adversity, inspiring everyone who knew her to embrace hope and grace. Throughout her battle with cancer, Lyn remained a beacon of strength, always offering gentle reassurance and a smile that could brighten any room.

Her happy place was always the beach, especially Hilton Head, no matter the weather. Lyn found serenity in the gentle crash of the waves and delighted in sandy strolls, collecting memories along the shore. She had a playful side reflected in her collection of giraffes and a passion for nurturing both people and plants—proudly embracing her title as a “crazy plant lady.”

Lyn’s commitment to her Vineyard church family was unwavering; her faith was the cornerstone upon which she built her life. In every season, she drew strength and peace from her beliefs, and her guiding light touched the hearts of many, both within her church and beyond.

Of all her life’s accomplishments, Lyn was most proud of her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and relished her special role as Nana to Natalie, Sarah, and Eden, sharing her zest for life and steadfast encouragement.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on August 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018. A Celebration of Life honoring Lyn will follow at 7:00 p.m. Please wear red for Lyn.

Lyn Dorgan’s legacy is one of love, faith, and service to others. Her life touched countless people, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
