Monica Elizabeth Payne

Monica Elizabeth Payne (nee Stuemke) born on January 29, 1948, in Passau, Germany, passed away on April 3, 2026, in Edgewood, Kentucky. She lived a life marked by kindness and care, qualities that touched many who knew her.

Monica enjoyed simple pleasures, especially playing BINGO, an activity she loved and found joy in. She also devoted time to working with rescue dogs, showing her gentle and compassionate spirit in every aspect of her life.

Monica was preceded in death by her father, Emil Stuemke, her mother, Anna Stuemke (nee Schreiner), and her beloved son, Brett Morehouse. Though these family members have passed, the memories they shared remain in the hearts of those who loved them.

She is survived by her caretakers Michael and Rebecca Crail, and numerous friends who appreciated her warmth and kindness. Monica’s life was one of quiet generosity and unwavering love, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Her journey from Passau, Germany, to Edgewood, Kentucky, was filled with moments of caring and connection. Monica Elizabeth Payne will be remembered simply and fondly for the loving person she was.
