Michael B. Doherty

Michael B. Doherty, aged 86, of Elsmere, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on June 1, 2025. Born in Covington, Kentucky on March 19, 1939, he was the cherished son of John and Edith Doherty (nee Dutro).

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Edith and John Doherty, as well as his beloved son, Andy Doherty; daughter, Michelle Doherty; and brothers, Alan and Richard Doherty. 

He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter, Shawna D. (Donald) Straub; grandchildren, Jacob R. Straub, Zoe O. Straub, and Luke A. Straub; daughter-in-law, Ruby P. Doherty; granddaughter, Elizabeth G. (Triston) Bowen; and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A man of many passions, Michael enjoyed fishing and spending time on his farm, where he took delight in tinkering with old motors and building various projects. His greatest joy, however, came from the time spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.

Michael was also an active member of the Masons and the American Legion, contributing to his community and fostering bonds with others.
