Mary Niederhelman

Mary Niederhelman, age 93, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Born on September 2, 1932, in Blue Creek, Ohio, she was the daughter of Hosea and Bertha Moore (nee Raines).

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Hosea and Bertha, as well as her siblings: Ronald Moore, Hosea Moore Jr., James W. Moore "Willy," and Shelby Jean. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Janella (Ivan) Marsh; her sons, Robert Jones and Peter (Tina) Cooke; her eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Anna Pauline Bucy; and numerous other family members and friends.

Mary was an active member of her church choir and cherished a memorable trip to New York City in 2012. Demonstrating remarkable resilience, she continued to work until the age of 83. Known for her love of shoes, Mary had a delightful spirit and possessed a beautiful voice, with fond memories of her youthful days as a yodeler. She would often smile reminiscing about her childhood, where she received only one pair of shoes each year.

A funeral ceremony to honor Mary will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 12:00 PM, with visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Zion United Church of Christ, located at 2301 Indian Mound Ave, Norwood, OH 45212.
