Marion Montgomery was born on March 22, 1932 to the union of Leo James Montgomery and Ruth (nee Coaston) Montgomery-Thigpen, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the granddaughter of Charles Levi and LeVaneer (Stidum) Coaston.
Marion was baptized in the Catholic Faith at Holy Trinity Catholic Church located on Fifth Street and Central Avenue, West End, Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School. Marion graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School and McCall Colored Industrial School.
In August, 1949, Marion married Oscar Chancellor. To this union there were no children, however, she was blessed to be the Surrogate Mother to Theresa (nee Torney) Brown, daughter of Wilma Jean Torney.
Marion retired from Hamilton County Department of Human Services with sixteen years of service and American Nursing Services with ten years of service.
Cherishing her memories always; Aunts, Sally Coaston and Susie Coaston- Jones;
a hosts of cousins; Coaston, Montgomery, Anderson, Brown, Stidum, Young, Bynum and friends.
