Margaret L. Travis

Margaret L. Travis, age 81, of Elsmere, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Born in Dayton, Ohio, on January 14, 1945, she was the cherished daughter of Willie Render and Anna M. Jones (nee Botts).

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Render; stepfather, Van Jones; mother, Anna M. Jones; daughter, Rosiland M. Lewis; and brother, Robert Jones.

Margaret leaves behind a loving family: her children Carla L. (Everett) Samuels, Andrea R. (Charles) Scott, Carl B. Travis, Marcia L. Travis; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and her siblings Vanetta Margison, Ora Byrd, Ann Hoskins, Dee Roetting, and Martin Jones. She is also remembered fondly by numerous other family members and friends.

Margaret found joy in spending time with friends, traveling, gardening and visiting casinos. She delighted in meeting new people and socializing at the Waffle House.

In her memory, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
