Luedell Ruffin

On November 8, 1957 Luedell Ruffin was born to Hattie Lue Ruffin and Isdell(Danny) Ruffin in Birmingham, Alabama.

Luedell was proceeded in death by her loving Parents Hattie Ruffin and Danny Ruffin.

Luedell moved from Birmingham Alabama to Cincinnati Ohio at the age of 6, where she attended Douglas Elementary and she attended Sawyer Jr high during those times she met many lifelong friends who would become like family. She graduated from Withrow high school in 1976. While in high school she met Emmet (Darrell) Harper and through that union Andrea Ruffin was born. In 1990 Luedell met Llyod( Sonny) Walton became pregnant and gave birth to Delshay(Moni) Ruffin. Luedell attended Moeller beauty college. She also graduated from Cincinnati Cooks where she earned her certification as a professional Chef. She received various certifications throughout the years. Luedell worked at various organizations throughout the years. She worked at Proctor and Gamble. She worked at Teesdell dry cleaners, Walmart and Community actions agency and Peterman bus company. She had a great sense of humor and loved to dance. She loved God and she loved life. She loved to eat. She loved to party with her friends who were like her sisters Pandora Portor and Melisa(Missy) Bufford. Luedell was very unique, She was very outgoing and she never met a Stanger. She was Caring and loved by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Her memory will live on through her daughters Andrea Ruffin and Delshay Ruffin. Her grandchildren Kiairra Washington, Jeremy Pressley Jr, Jermani Pressley, D’Andre Lee, Jeriya Jamison and Marius Jamison. Her Brother Dion Ruffin. Her uncle William Ruffin, Her cousin who she claimed as her baby brother David Woods, her cousin Joanne Parks who was like her sister and various cousins who she loved very much. She will be missed by all of her close friends. It’s too many to name but she loved all of you.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, at 3:00 pm, located at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3300 Parkcrest Lane. Visitation will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm- 3:00 pm.
