Listen to Obituary

Louisa Del Favero, a beloved matriarch and devoted stay-at-home mother, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, in Alexandria, Kentucky. Born on October 29, 1921, in Ormelle, Italy, Louisa was a vibrant presence in the lives of all who knew her, known for her cheerful disposition and generous spirit.

For over 60 years, Louisa was an engaged parishioner at St. Ignatius before becoming a cherished member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cold Spring, Kentucky. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through the joys and challenges of motherhood and beyond.

Louisa was immensely proud of her family, which includes her daughter, Ann (Mark) Federle, her son, Mark (Amy) Del Favero, and her grandchildren, Christopher Del Favero, Lydia Del Favero, Stephen (Lindsey) Federle, Lisa (Gary) Brown, and Kevin (Elizabeth) Federle. She also took great pride in her great-grandchildren, Lucas, Jacob, Andrew, Evan, Owen, Harper, and Kayla, each of whom were a source of joy and inspiration in her life.

An avid cook, Louisa lovingly prepared meals for her family, and she frequently turned to her hobbies of canning, crafting, and sewing, sharing the fruits of her labor with those she loved. She enjoyed traveling, experiencing the beauty of various places, including Alaska and Washington D.C., which left her with cherished memories and stories to share.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Viktorio and Giovanna Zambenedetti (nee Cattelan), her husband, Joseph Del Favero, her son, Joseph C. Del Favero, and her brother, Leo Zambenedetti. Their memories remained a constant source of strength for Louisa, and she held them close in her heart throughout her life.

Louisa leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness and love that will endure through her family and friends. Her generous heart and joyful spirit will be sorely missed by all who were graced by her presence, but they will carry her memory forward with gratitude and affection.
