Lone Soto

April 24, 1959 — July 30, 2025

Erlanger, Kentucky

Lone Soto, a vibrant soul known for her selflessness, generosity, and boundless kindness, passed away peacefully in her home in Erlanger on July 30, 2025, following a courageous battle with brain cancer. Born on April 24, 1959, in Randers, Denmark, Lone lived her life fully, embodying resilience and positivity that touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

A dedicated mother, she poured her heart into her children—Jennifer, Mikael, Christina, and Nicholas. Their success was her pride, and her unwavering support for them was a testament to her love. She was more than a mother; she was their steadfast champion, always ready to lend an ear or offer gentle encouragement. The memories they created together, combined with her unwavering love, will forever remain a guiding light in their lives.

Lone was also a cherished sister to Myra (Robert) Boehl, Helle Termansen, Marianne (Torben) Termansen, and a beloved sister-in-law to Lone Helbo. Her familial bonds were strong, nurtured by her thoughtful and loving nature. She was the heart of her family, fostering connections and ensuring that love flowed through every gathering.

A multifaceted individual, Lone's interests were diverse and reflective of her commitment to capturing life's beautiful moments. As a passionate photographer, she volunteered her talent by photographing events pro-bono, preserving cherished memories for friends and the community. Her interest in genealogy saw her tracing family lineages for both her loved ones and friends, highlighting her dedication to connecting people with their roots.

Her contributions extended into the community, where she was a devoted member of the Scandinavian Society of Cincinnati, serving as a board member and Vice President, dedicating her time and energy to ensure cultural legacies thrived. She also played a significant role in the Rebild Society, which is the first Danish-American friendship association, tirelessly working on and nurturing a sense of community among fellow members. She recently devoted much of her time and resources to hosting a successful gala for the association in Cincinnati.

Lone was known for making the best gravy and baking delightful cookies, often bringing smiles to the faces of hospital staff during her visits. Her unyielding positive outlook in the face of illness was inspiring; she rarely complained and always fought valiantly, refusing to let her circumstances dictate her spirit.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ivan Termandsen; her mother, Elly Kristensen; and her brother, Flemming Jensen. Their memories live on in the stories she shared and the love she instilled in those around her.

Service details are pending at this time.

Though we mourn her passing, we celebrate the lasting impact she made in our lives and the immense love she shared. Lone Soto leaves a legacy of kindness, strength, and an indomitable spirit that will forever be remembered by her family, friends, and community.
