Linda Elaine Chasteen, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away on January 22, 2026, in Covington, Kentucky. She was born on February 11, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Eric and Betty Jo Furman (nee Trisch). Linda's loving spirit touched the lives of many, and her proudest accomplishments were centered around her family, which she cherished deeply.
Linda is survived by her loving children, Joseph M. Chasteen, Jr., Sara B. Chasteen, Amanda R. Dean-Chasteen and Doug M. Chasteen. She was a devoted grandmother to eight grandchildren: Michael, Brooklynn, Ean, Breana, Luke, Madison, Mason, and Cole. In addition, her heart expanded with joy as she welcomed five great-grandchildren: Aria, Nirvana, Crue, Jovi, and Jaxson. Linda also leaves behind her brother, Rick Furman, along with many other family members and friends who adored her.
Throughout her life, Linda shared her unwavering love with those around her. She found great joy in spending time with her family, sharing her love for music with them, and celebrating family milestones together. Her sense of adventure led her on travels to destinations such as Disney and the beach, where laughter and memories filled the air.
Linda will always be remembered for her loving personality and the warmth she brought into every gathering. Her legacy is one of family unity, love, and cherished moments. As we gather to honor her memory, we celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the profound impact she had on each of us.
A visitation will take place on February 9, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM followed by a funeral service at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, located at 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018. A graveside service will take place afterward at 2:00 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, 205 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, KY 41097.
Linda Elaine Chasteen will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
