Laura Jean Orsburn

Laura Jean Orsburn, age 84, of Latonia, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025. Born in Covington, Kentucky, on April 24, 1941, she was the cherished daughter of Alphus D. and Verna B. Hutton (nee Walls).

Laura is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Verna B. Hutton; father, Alphus D. Hutton; and her sons, Jeff S. Orsburn and Jack D. Orsburn. She also mourned the loss of her sister, Betty Hutchinson, and brothers, Bobby Hutton and Roy Hutton.

She is survived by her son, Louis W. (Brook) Orsburn; daughter, Cindy A. (Jeff) Atkins; son, Christopher S. (Shirley) Orsburn; and bonus daughter, Crystal Love. Laura was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren, and she took great joy in her eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Additionally, she is remembered by her brother, Bill Hutton; brother, Pete Hutton; sister, Linda Roberts; and a host of other family and friends.

Laura had a passion for playing card games and working on puzzles, but her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her family and friends, particularly her grandchildren.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2025, with visitation preceding the ceremony from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The service will take place at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, located at 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
