In Loving Memory of Lalitaben Jashbhai Patel

With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the peaceful passing of Lalitaben Jashbhai Patel on July 10, 2026, in Harrison, Ohio, surrounded by the love and presence of her family.

Lalitaben was born on September 1, 1951, in Vera, Gujarat, India, to her loving parents, Kamlaben Patel and Chunilal Patel. She grew up surrounded by family and traditions, and the value of devotion to those she loved. She was one of seven children and shared a special bond with her three brothers, Vijaybhai, Mahendrabhai, and Navinbhai, and her three sisters, Jayaben, Vimlaben (Vimu), and Manjuben (Saku).

On May 12, 1973, Lalitaben married Jashbhai Patel. Together, they built a life filled with love, respect, and dedication to their family. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership that created a strong foundation of traditions and memories that will continue for generations to come.

Lalitaben’s greatest joy in life were her kids. She devoted herself to raising her three children,Yogina, Mehul, and Jayesh. As a mother, she was deeply committed to them, always putting their needs first and guiding them with patience, strength, and unwavering support.

On November 30, 2008, Lalitaben came to the United States to begin a new chapter of her life with her family. Leaving behind the familiar places and memories of her home in India, she embraced this new journey with courage and strength. She continued to be the heart of her family, bringing love and warmth into her new home.

Lalitaben was a woman of great strength, determination, and resilience. She was a fighter who faced life’s challenges with courage and never gave up. She was hardworking, independent, and strong-willed, always taking pride in caring for her family and doing things in her own way. Those who knew her best will lovingly remember her stubbornness—not as a flaw, but as a reflection of her strength and deep commitment to the people and traditions she cherished.

Lalitaben expressed her love in the smallest and most meaningful ways. She was known for always making her own pani puri and papdi at home, no matter how many times her family encouraged her to simply buy them. It was her way of preserving traditions and putting a piece of herself into everything she made.

She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, including watching her favorite television show, Anupamaa, enjoying cooking reels and home remedies on Facebook, and spending quiet moments reading the Sunderkand every day. She also loved eating her favorite foods, especially bajri na rotla and ghau ni khichdi.

Lalitaben is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Jashbhai Patel, and her children, Yogina and her husband Dilip, Mehul and his wife Jignasha, and Jayesh and his wife Nour.

She was also a beloved grandmother to Shivane, Kajal, and Nieti (children of Yogina and Dilip), Siddhi and Sai (children of Mehul and Jignasha), and Jevan (son of Jayesh and Nour). Her grandchildren brought her endless happiness, and the love, guidance, prayers, and blessings she shared with them will remain a part of their lives forever.

Lalitaben’s life was a beautiful example of love, strength, sacrifice, and devotion. She gave so much of herself to the people she loved and created a legacy that will continue through her children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Although our hearts are filled with sorrow, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts. May her soul find peace, and may Sendhani Maa continue to bless and guide her on her spiritual journey.

Jai Sendhani Maa
