Kenneth Edward Roesel Sr.

Kenneth Edward Roesel, age 92, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on January 2, 2026. He was born on January 2, 1934, in Cincinnati to Christy and Edna Roesel (née Krieg).

Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Jo Roesel, as well as his parents, and his grandmother, Elizabeth Bott, along with siblings Allen Roesel, Norman Roesel, and Joyce Roesel, and his grandson, Brandon Michael Roesel.

He is survived by a loving family that includes his children: Patricia (Frank) Anderson, Kimberlee (Robert) Weidner, Victoria (Kevin) Koelble, Andra (Thomas) Craig, Joseph (Colleen O’Connell) Roesel, Michael (Sheri) Roesel, Kenneth Roesel, Jr., Gregory (Carolyn) Roesel, and Matthew (Anna) Roesel. Kenneth was a proud grandfather to 32 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 44 great-grandchildren. He is also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Kenneth dedicated 41 years of his career to CG&E (now Duke Energy), retiring in 1996. He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1957 to 1963, achieving the rank of Sergeant (E-5) in the 8th Army Unit, stationed in Guam in the Pacific Islands.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati (45211), from 3:30 PM until 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence Church in Price Hill, located at 3680 Warsaw Avenue, Cincinnati (45205). Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Old Cemetery, 3819 W. Eighth St., Cincinnati (45205).

In lieu of flowers in loving memory of Kenneth E. Roesel Sr., contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, 5440 Moeller Ave, Norwood, Ohio (45212).
