Kathleen A. Hemsath

Kathleen "Kathy" A. Hemsath, age 75, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Born on June 25, 1950, in Cincinnati to Clifford and Viola Newman (née Gramalgia), Kathy was known for her joyful spirit and warm heart.

Kathy’s radiant laughter and welcoming nature touched the lives of many. She loved meeting new people, never spoke ill of others, and was often found dancing—whether it was tap dancing or disco in her younger years. A passionate traveler and devoted grandmother, she cherished the time spent laughing and sharing moments with her grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her father Clifford Newman, mother Viola Newman, husband Larry Hemsath, and daughter Kimberly Bick. Kathy is lovingly remembered by her; daughter Gina (Denny) Bath; son Steve Hemsath; siblings Gerry (Cathy) Newman, Nancy (Paul) Gehring, and Steve (Joni) Newman; grandchildren Stuart Bick, Jake (Hannah) Bick, Braden Bath; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends who cherished her presence.

A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.

In honor of Kathy’s memory, contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
