Karen Haggis

Karen S. Haggis, loving mother of Brandon Dittgen and Scott Dittgen. Beloved daughter of the late Peter and Flora Haggis and sister of the late Michael Haggis. Cherished cousin of Sylvia Ellcoff and Rick Manoff. Caring aunt of Adrienne, Karissa, and Sabrina Haggis. She is also survived by many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.

Karen enjoyed a long career as a preschool teacher, touching the lives of countless children through her patience, kindness, and commitment to helping them learn and grow. Karen passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 75. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of Karen's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Karen's memory to Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen and Social Center, Cincinnati, Ohio.
