June Elizabeth Urk

June Elizabeth Urk, age 75, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025. She was born on January 31, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the loving parents of Richard and Bettie Dreizler (nee Adamson). They both preceded her in death.

June was survived by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Joseph A. Urk who unexpectedly passed away just a few days later. She is also survived by her loving son Christopher (Tami) Urk, and her daughter Kelly (John) Allgeier. June’s legacy continues through her grandchildren: Joe (Beth Day) Powell, Jacob Allgeier, Dylan (Bella Dowrey) Urk, Lauren Allgeier, Ashley Urk, and John “JJ” Allgeier, Jr. Additionally, she was blessed with two great-grandchildren: Teddy Day-Powell and Everett McDaniel-Allgeier, along with a wide circle of family and friends that will remember her fondly.

The cornerstone of June’s life was the love she had for family as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She delighted in the presence of her grandchildren sharing countless joyful moments together. Her love for travel took her to the mountains of Tennessee and the beaches of Cancun, Mexico, where she made cherished memories. She had a passion for creating beautiful handmade crafts, which she sold at local craft shows.

In addition to her artistic talents, she cultivated a love for gardening and flowers, finding beauty and solace in nature. As an avid reader, she enjoyed books by her favorite authors Danielle Steele and J.D. Robb. June also cherished simple pleasures such as playing Go Fish and enjoying movie outings together with her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 3:00 PM until the funeral service at 5:00 PM. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, Westside Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
