Judith Anne Crowder

Judith Anne Crowder (née Wagner), fondly remembered as Judy, passed away peacefully at her home in Florence, Kentucky, on July 28, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on May 24, 1950, in Covington, Kentucky, Judy’s 76 years were filled with unwavering love, devotion, and remarkable generosity of spirit.

Judy’s life is beautifully defined by the deep and abiding relationships she forged over the decades. She shared 56 devoted years of marriage with her cherished husband, Dennis Crowder. Their journey together began early and flourished into the ever-growing, close-knit family that was Judy’s proudest accomplishment and the cornerstone of her happiness.

She is lovingly survived by her husband Dennis; her sons Kevin Crowder, Dennis (Debi and Jennifer) Crowder II, and Dale (Kim) Crowder; her sisters Gina (Jim) Rapp, Chris (Pat) Lenihan, and Billie (Saul) Friling; and her brother-in-law Jim Broeing. Judy’s legacy further lives on through her treasured grandchildren—Natasha (Adrian) Whelan, Alexander (Jodie) Crowder, Zack (Whitney) Prather, Kendelynn Crowder, Easton Crowder, Chelsea Crowder, Dennis Crowder III, Jax (Zoe Becerra) Crowder, Madison Rice, Autumn Rice, Logan Rice, Casey Crowder, Ella Crowder, and Tarin Crowder—and her cherished great-grandchildren—Kaydence Chretien, Keiren Richard, Ryker Whelan, Thomas Crowder, Thea Crowder, Braxton Prather, Bennett Prather, Aiden Haynes, Dawson Bravard, and Jayla Crowder.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Helen Alexander, her father, George Wagner, her sister, Sue Broeing, and her granddaughter-in-love, Jolene Allen. Their memories continued to shape her life with warmth and gratitude for the bonds they shared.

Those blessed to know Judy would describe her as kind, generous, caring, and deeply devoted to her faith. Her warm presence and steadfast compassion touched every life she encountered, and her nurturing spirit was felt most profoundly within her family.

An avid pig collector, Judy’s passion began in 1973 when Dennis brought her a porcelain pig from military police school in Alabama while serving in the military. This small token blossomed into a joyful collection of over 800 pigs, each one a symbol of her love for whimsy and her appreciation for life’s simple delights. Her grandchildren, especially, cherished visiting her pig garden, a magical corner of her world adorned with 20 pig statues that sparked joy and happy memories for the family. In addition to her pig collection, Judy also loved to travel and camp as often as possible. Due to her sense of adventure and Dennis' military service she made it to places in the world that many never had an opportunity. She and Dennis have a camper at River Ridge Park which was like a second home to her.

Throughout her life, Judy poured her heart into her faith and into her family, setting a lasting example of selfless love and commitment. Her legacy will live on in the stories, traditions, and values she instilled in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to honor Judy’s memory at a visitation on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, located at 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday, August 4, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church, 3813 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, KY 41018. Interment will take place at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Covington, KY 41015, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Judy’s warmth, generosity, and devotion will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and inspired, and in the countless lives she gently touched along her journey.
