John "J.D." Wesley

John D. "J.D." Wesley, aged 80, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026. Born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 20, 1946, to parents John P. and Dorothy A. Wesley (née Phelps), John led a life rich with family and passions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Julie, and brother Paul F. Wesley.

John is lovingly remembered by his wife, together 34 years and married 21 years, Cathy A. Wesley (née Gunkel); children Lisa D. Wells, Kim R. Richardson, Bob M. Burton, and Danielle M. (Stephen) Donna; grandsons Wesley H. (Sydney) Estep, Reid A. Peters, and Jackson Donna; along with many cherished family members and friends.

John found joy in golfing, supporting the Bengals, and watching birds from his front porch. His love for life and nature touched all who knew him.

In his memory, contributions can be made to Boone County Animal Care and Control, Burlington, KY.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, October 19, 2026, with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, Erlanger, Kentucky.
