Joan Wombles

Joan Wombles, age 84, of Mount Healthy, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025. Born on October 25, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Joan was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Dorothy Voegtle (née Cook).

Joan is preceded in death by her loving parents, Joseph and Dorothy Voegtle, and her sister, Connie Huddle. She is survived by her devoted son, Steven Wombles, and his partner, Star Taylor; her sister, Bonnie Antrobus; her brother, Joseph Voegtle; as well as her grandchildren, Jordan Wombles and Lily Wombles, and her great-grandchild, Maximus Wombles. Additionally, Joan leaves behind a wide circle of family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

Throughout her life, Joan found joy in various activities, including bowling, crocheting blankets, sewing, quilting, and traveling with friends. Most importantly, she treasured the time spent with her family and grandchildren, whose lives she touched with her warmth and love.

In honor of her memory, contributions may be made to St. Jude's. A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with visitation starting at 1:00 PM, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45211.
