Joan "G" E. Colson

Joan "G" E. Colson, age 78, of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. She was born on September 4, 1947, in Corinth, Kentucky, to the late Porter and Maxine (nee Robinson) Faulkner.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Maxine and Porter Faulkner; her brothers, Eugene, Robert, Gerald, and Ronald Faulkner; and her daughter, Lisa Garcia.

Joan is survived by her children, Paula Colson and Robbie (Kelli) Colson; her grandchildren, Jason Colson, Christuean “Crystal” Colson, Phillip (Stevie) Couch Jr., Cameron Couch, Shaun Couch, Katlin Colson, Alexis (Ross) Dever Rigsby, Mattie (Coltin) Colson, Ireland Colson, Kealee Colson, and Maria (Jeremy) Garcia Zeigler; and her great grandchildren, Evan Volpenhein Jr., Cole Smith, Cayde Couch, Henry Rigsby, Leo Rigsby, Lexington Shafer, Graham Rigsby, Maxine Zeigler, and Dominick Zeigler. She is also survived by her brother, Porter Faulkner Jr..

Joan cherished her family above all else and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She found joy in cooking, and playing her favorite card games. Her love, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life for Joan will be held Sunday August 30, 2026, from 2:30pm to 5:30pm at Loyal Oder of Moose 5247 Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015
