Jim Schreibeis

Jim Schreibeis, age 89, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 21, 1936 to Frank J and Beulah Schreibeis (nee Townley).

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Cris Prewitt and his siblings; Irmel Brafford, Marylou Schreibeis, Frank Schreibeis, Daniel Schreibeis, David Schreibeis, Sissy Augustine and Bessie Burke.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Peggy Schreibeis (nee Nemann-Sexton) his children, Steve (Tina) Schreibeis, Rob (Adrianne) Schreibeis and Wendy Schreibeis. He is the step-father of Kathleen (Howard) Brandeisky, Anne (Neil) Doughty, Julie (Byron)Stallworth, and Michael Sexton. He is the brother of Gene Schreibeis.

Jim is the grandfather of Josh (Brittany), Zach (Robyn), Lizzie, Olivia (Jake), Joey, Alanna, Chance, A.J., Cerena, Cirsten, Kara (Eric), Paul, Maya, Jerome, Nina (Daniel) and Peter. He is the great grandfather of Ally, Lorelei, Colson, Noah, Tommy and Claire.

He'll be missed by his long time friends, Ken Ankenbauer and Tommy Engnes.

Jim spent some time in the Army Reserves. He was a member of the Syrian Shrine Temple. In younger days, he was an "artist" with plaster. In his later days, he was an real estate agent.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
