Jeffery Michael Krohmer, affectionately known as Jeff, passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved family, on June 30, 2026, in Edgewood, Kentucky, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 31, 1978, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jeff’s life was marked by love, dedication, and a profound impact on those fortunate enough to know him.
Throughout his 48 years, Jeff exemplified kindness, perseverance, and generosity. His journey began in Bellevue, where he grew up surrounded by the warmth of a close-knit family. Jeff’s innate ability to bring light, laughter and loudness into any room defined his interactions, and his resilience in the face of adversity inspired everyone around him.
Jeff was a devoted husband to Jessica Krohmer, whose unwavering support and love were constants throughout their life together. As a father, Jeff’s commitment was unmatched; his son Austin Krohmer and daughter Elizabeth Krohmer were the pride and joy of his life, and he reveled in their achievements and growth, instilling in them the values of empathy, integrity, and perseverance.
Family was at the heart of Jeff’s world. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, James Krohmer, whose memory he cherished throughout his life. He is survived by his beloved mother, Lynn Krohmer, whose guidance and care shaped the man he became. Jeff’s bond with his siblings was strong and enduring; his brother Jim Krohmer and sister-in-law Jen Krohmer stood by his side through life's many moments, while his sister Diana Ballman and brother-in-law Brian Ballman, as well as his sister Kim Dunn and brother-in-law Mack Dunn, offered steadfast support and affection. He is also survived by a host of extended family, including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jeff's legacy is reflected not only in his family but also in the countless friendships, acts of kindness, and positive influence he extended to his community. Whether encouraging his loved ones, sharing his wisdom, or lending a helping hand, Jeff's generosity and spirit left an indelible mark.
Jeff enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, boating, sitting around a fire and sharing a beer or glass of bourbon on his back deck with friends. He maintained friendships with high school and college classmates alike. Jeff's family was his proudest accomplishment and you could often find him cheering on his children at their baseball games and volleyball matches. It was always game day for Jeff; his profound love for football shaped his life, taking him from a standout player in high school and college to a passionate and impactful coach, on and off the field and brought that same energy, dedication and teamwork to everyone he loved.
All who knew Jeff will remember his remarkable courage, boundless love for his family, and the warmth he brought to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his wife, children, mother, siblings, extended family, and friends.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Jeff’s life and legacy. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
