James "Chris" Stephens

James Chris Stephens, age 47, of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, passed away on November 25, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Louisville Kentucky, on January 19, 1977, to James "Rick" and Anna Stephens (née Beckner).

Known for his dedication and passion, Chris was an exceptional baseball coach and trainer who found great joy in helping young athletes succeed in the sport. His enthusiasm for sports extended beyond baseball; he was also an avid fan of North Carolina basketball and enjoyed watching various sports, including engaging in video poker like his dad. Above all, Chris cherished the moments spent with his family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Rick Stephens, as well as his paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Aline Stephens, and maternal grandparents, Blanche and Bill Walton. He is survived by his beloved fiancée, Ann Carlin; his mother, Anna Stephens; his sons, Austin and Carter Stephens; his brothers, Ed Clemons and Adam O'Flaherty; his sisters, Cynde Orso and Phyllis Kennedy; and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Big Bone Baptist Church,11036 Big Bone Church Rd, Union, KY 41091. The funeral ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by burial at Big Bone Baptist Cemetery.
