Jacquelyn Rae Moon

Jacquelyn Rae Moon, age 89, of Florence, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Born on November 29, 1936, in Newport, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of Harold W. and Vada McPhearson (née Martin).

Jacquelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert "Peter" Charles Moon; her parents, Harold W. and Vada McPhearson; her brother, Harold McPhearson; and her son, Peter Mark Moon. She is lovingly remembered by her children Stephen (Rachel) Moon, David D. (Maleah Rhodes) Moon, and Karen Moon (Wesley) Bruce; her brother John (Linda) McPhearson; and her cherished grandchildren Sean (Chenlu Lou) Bruce, Ian Bruce, Adam Moon, Sophia Moon, Michael Moon, great grandchildren, Charlie Bruce, and Conner Bruce, along with many other family members and friends.

A gifted sacred musician, Jacquelyn delighted in singing, playing piano and organ, and conducting choirs. She treasured her family deeply, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private Celebration of Life and Graveside Service will be held at a later date.

In tribute to Jacquelyn’s memory, contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Friends and family are invited to share memories and messages of condolence to honor her life and legacy.
