Jacqueline Williams

January 11, 1937 — October 26, 2023

Jacqueline Carol Williams, age 86, of Camp Dennison, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 11, 1937 to Enos and Edith Williams (nee Carroll).

Jackie was the first child born to Enos and Edith Williams on January 11, 1937. She was a dutiful and loving daughter to both of her parents that preceded her in death.

Jackie joined church at an early age and remained a staunch and devoted member of Calvary United Methodist throughout her lifetime. Jackie was also an associate member of McKendree United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C. Jackie financially supported both churches for many years.
Jackie went to Newtonsville Elementary school until her parents and grandparents sold their farm and moved to Milford, Ohio. Jackie graduated from Milford High School as class valedictorian. She continued her education in Washington, D.C. at Howard University, a historically black college founded in 1867. She graduated from nursing school and was employed at the Howard University hospital. Jackie became the head nurse of the labor and delivery department for 20 years and retired in June of 1992 with a total of 30 years dedication. After retiring from the hospital Jackie worked in private care for Dr. T. R. George specializing in obstetrics and gynecology.

Jackie loved to travel visiting Africa, Europe, Alaska and many islands throughout her lifetime. She also spent numerous hours working in her flower garden. Besides gardening Jackie loved her Washington Redskins football team or the "Hogs" as she called them and didn't miss attending their home games. When Jackie wasn't traveling, gardening or at football she was boating with a long time friend and companion Teddy George, or TR as she affectionately called him. She loved the water and spent countless hours on the Potomac. Jackie relocated back home to Cincinnati in 2008. When her mother became ill in 2011 Jackie was her primary caregiver until her passing in 2013.

Jackie leaves to mourn her sister Carolyn, brothers Lloyd and Don; numerous nieces and nephews including great great. Jackie also will be missed by her dear friends in Maryland; Regina, Pompey and Nargy who would call to talk and inquire about her health until the end.
