Jacqueline Leona Lawrence, née Goodman, passed away on September 28, 2026, just two days after her 87th birthday. She was born on September 26, 1939, and will be remembered as a kind and loving woman, an exceptional and caring mother, and someone who was, in so many ways, everyone’s mother.
Professionally, Jacqueline was known for her stellar career at the Federal Court, where her dedication and sharp intellect left a lasting impression. Beyond her work, she possessed a vibrant passion for the fine arts, music, and all things in between. Whether she was creating, listening, or simply taking in the colorful world around her, art and melody were constant sources of joy.
Jacqueline’s generosity knew no bounds She spent countless hours crafting and sewing Quilts for hospice and Ronald McDonald, served as a dedicated Girl Scout leader in her children’s younger years, and loved singing with her sisters at family gatherings.
Family was at the heart of Jacqueline’s life. She is survived by her children, Mark (Susan) Lawrence, Georgia Beth (the late Mark) Rothdiener, Kirsten (James Lawson) McCoy; her grandchildren, Brann (Calina) Dailor, Aleigha (Tony) Rhoades, Ben (the late Xionte) Lawrence, Chris (Emma) Lawrence, Ryan (Elise) McCoy, Travis Rothdiener, Emery (Josh) Lawrence, and Timothy Lawrence. She is also survived by her siblings, Terry (Jude) Goodman, Carol (the late George) Hildebrand, and Wayne (Barb) Moose. Each of them carries forward memories of her love, her guidance, and the welcoming way she cared for those around her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Brandon; her father, Walter Goodman; her daughter, Michele Lawrence; her granddaughter, Skye Dailor; and her sister, Sharon Moose.
A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 5pm followed by a time of sharing at 6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 4350 Dixie Hwy. Erlanger, KY 41018.
Jacqueline’s life was marked by care for others, devotion to family, and a generosity that reached well beyond her own home. Her memory will live on in the family gatherings she cherished, in the songs once shared with her sisters, and in the many acts of kindness that defined her life. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
