Henry V. Makie

Henry V. Makie, aged 86, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away on September 20, 2026. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on November 16, 1939, to Vennie and Elsie Makie (née Niemi), he was a devoted family man and cherished friend.

He is remembered with love by his daughter Christina (Brad) Ellzey, son Stephen (Estelle) Makie, Sr., grandchildren Benjamin Ellzey, Stephanie (Zachary) Lind, Will Ellzey, Stephen Makie, Jr. and Samuel Makie, great-grandson Blaise Lind; and his brother Paul (Karen) Makie, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his beloved sister, Sallie (Buddy) Gabriella.

Henry found joy in ballroom dancing, golf, skiing, and baseball. He took particular pleasure in cheering for his Boston Red Sox (and the Cincinnati Reds the last few years!). He was a die hard New England Patriots fan too! His love for the outdoors was a constant throughout his life.
