Glyn Ellen Halsey, aged 87, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on October 16, 2025. Born on November 23, 1937, in Huntington, West Virginia, she was the daughter of William Alexander and Dorothy Edith Smith (nee Stewart).

Glyn is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Edith Smith; father, William Alexander Smith; son, Douglas Allen Halsey; and brother, Wayne A. Smith. She leaves behind a loving family, including her son, Derek David Halsey; daughter, Sheridan Lynne Miller; six grandchildren - Nicholas T. Huth, Dillon Halsey, Devin Halsey, Robert G. Miller, Zoe S. Miller, and Magnus T. Miller; as well as two great-grandchildren, Max Senecal and Jameson Lee. She is also survived by her brother, Stephen D. (Karen) Smith, along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Glyn had a profound passion for the University of Cincinnati, particularly its Marching Band watching her granddaughter perform, which brought her immense joy. She was an avid sports enthusiast, favoring collegiate teams in baseball, hockey, football, and basketball. Nature also held a special place in her heart, and she found peace and solace in the great outdoors.

Family was of utmost importance to Glyn, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Known for her engaging conversations, she made a lasting impact on everyone she met.

In loving memory of Glyn, contributions can be made to the University of Cincinnati Foundation, specifically designated for the Marching Bearcat Band, located at 147 Corry Boulevard, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219.
