Evelyn Marie Turner

Evelyn (Koons) Turner, born April 18, 1938, passed away Januray 21, 2026. Daughter of the late Eugene and Pansy Koons and wife of Don Turner for nearly 70 years.  Mother of Dr. Jeffrey Turner (wife Susie) and Tammy Berberich (husband Paul).

Grandmother of Ben Turner (wife Jen), Tracy DeSpain (husband Josh), Whitney Stroup (husband Ben) and Kyle Berberich (wife Jessica). Sister, Edith Warner of Aurora, Indiana and Brother, Mike Koons of Rising Sun, Indiana. Blessed with nine great-grandchildren, Abby, Abel, Oakley, Levi, Cohen, Hadley, Murphy, Micah, and Mira.

Evelyn retired from Internal Revenue Service after 27 years of service in 1995. She and Don enjoyed 7 winters in Florida where they had a host of friends. They also camped with friends and belonged to the Good Sam Camping Club. They had a place at Indian Lakes in Indiana and enjoyed summers there.

When camping and winters in Florida were over, they looked forward to playing dominos with two special friends.

Evelyn was blessed with wonderful parents, a loving husband and her two children; Jeff and Tam who grew up to make her very proud.

She wants all the family to remember all the "Happy Times" and not be sad at her passing - she stated, "I had a great life"! She was loved and cherished by her family and will remain in their hearts forever.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 11am - 12:30pm with a service to follow at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4350 Dixie Hwy. Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Burial will take place immediately following at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill.
