The world lost a bright and unforgettable soul when David Edward Logan, Jr., affectionately known to many as “D-Lo,” was taken from us in an unimaginable tragedy on June 16, 2026. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 25, 1987, David grew up enveloped by the warmth and energy of his loving family and the rich spirit of the place he always called home.
From his earliest days, David possessed a generous heart and quick wit; qualities that endeared him to everyone lucky enough to cross his path. As a son, he brought endless pride to his mother, Shonda (John) Vasiliou, and the joy of shared laughter to his step-father, Richard Adams. He was deeply devoted to his wife, Felicia Logan, who stood beside him through every challenge and triumph, and as a father, his love for his son, Harlin Logan, glowed fiercely and unconditionally.
David’s family formed his center of gravity. Alongside his beloved wife and son, he is survived by his in-laws, Shonda and Randy Bedel; his supportive sister, Courtney (Brandon) Adams; his adoring nephew, Easton; his grandmother, Irene Hall; uncle, Ricky (Leslie) Schultz. Their bonds are a testament to the way David cherished each connection in his life and how wholly he embraced his roles as a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and grandson.
He also fondly remembered those who passed before him: his devoted father, David Edward Logan, Sr.; his grandfather, Harlin Hall; and his grandmother, Carol Logan. Although their absence was felt deeply, their legacies lived on in David’s generosity, kindness, irrepressible energy, and unwavering loyalty.
David was a man of tremendous heart, a compassionate friend to many and a beacon of support to those who needed it most. He never let anyone go unnoticed or unheard, and his determination to lift others was seemingly boundless. His million dollar smile could lighten any room, while his sense of humor turned ordinary days into joyful occasions. Through every stage of his journey, David’s authenticity left a mark that will never fade.
David was an immensely talented DJ, graphic designer, marketing expert, and excelled at everything else he put his mind to. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, hiking, boating, snowboarding, riding four wheelers, and more than anything, spending time with his friends and family.
Though his time with us was tragically cut short, David’s impact was immense. His example teaches all who loved him about the importance of selfless devotion, laughter, and cherishing every moment with family and friends.
To honor David’s memory, a Celebration of Life will take place on July 9, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Side, located at 3300 Parkcrest Ln, Cincinnati, OH 45211. Following this, there will be a special Time of Sharing from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location, where stories, memories, and love can be exchanged and cherished.
David Edward Logan, Jr. leaves behind a legacy of compassion, love, and laughter. Though he is gone from our sight, the indelible warmth he shared lives on, carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His story is one of connection, devotion, and irreplaceable presence—a story that will continue to inspire, comfort, and unite those he leaves behind.
